Great Kombucha

I have been making kombucha at home for several years and sharing recipes, techniques and SCOBYs with friends. After talking kombucha for so long, I decided to collect my favorite recipes (and seek out new ones) and share it all online for everyone.
My goal with this site to make it the source for the most comprehensive and best information about brewing and drinking kombucha.
I’ve been passionate about making and consuming fermented food for many years. I love the scientific and historical aspects of the fermentation process and how throughout history, different cultures have employed it to preserve (and improve food)
I first dabbled in fermented foods by making homemade pickles then yogurt and not much later cheese with my young daughters who were big cheese fans. Next I got into brewing beer (include wild/spontaneous fermentation) and homemade tempeh and eventually found my way to kombucha.
I’m a huge fan of Kombucha for it’s myriad of benefits, great taste and nutrition. In addition to drinking it daily, I love continuing to learn about new brewing techniques, ingredients and experimenting with flavor combinations.
I created this blog for two main reasons:
Help others learn all they need to know about how to make great Kombucha on their own.
Document and share my journey as I continue to learn and try new kombucha flavors and techniques
My hope is that this blog becomes one of the most comprehensive resources of kombucha brewing knowledge on the internet.
